How do I let a main contractor know whether I want to quote or not?

Head to the Invitations and Requests tab and find the enquiry or request you wish to respond to. You will find this under the response drop-down on the far right, select either ‘Quoting’ or ‘Not Quoting’ this will let the main contractor know of your intentions. If you select ‘Not quoting’, you have the option to provide a reason for the invitation decline.

💡
You have a live response score where the main contractor can see how active and responsive you are within E1. It is just as important to let the main contractor know if you plan on ‘Not Quoting’ as it is ‘Quoting’ as both responses contribute to your score.

Can I access my team members enquiries?

Yes, you can access enquiries sent to members of your team, head to the Monitor Responses tab. Click on the drop-down menu under Invited Team Member on the right-hand side of this page, and tick off the team members whose invitations you want to see.

💡
It is important to note that if the project has been marked private or closed by the main contractor - the documents will be inaccessible. The team member invited to the project may be able to forward the documents on or you may be able to reach out to the main contractor if this is not possible.

How do I find my old enquiries?

To access all of the projects you’ve been invited to in the past, just click on the Archive page within the Monitor Responses tab.

Projects move to the archive section 5 days after the quotes due date has passed.

Why can't I download the documents from a colleague's enquiry?

Sometimes projects are confidential in nature - it could be because it’s a defence job or even a new prison, and some main contractors prefer to privately invite specific people from their address book.

Because these jobs need that extra level of security, you’ll need to be personally approved by the main contractor before they can give you the go-ahead to access project documents. You can request this by contacting the main contractor directly.
