Managing projects with an NDA

How to manage projects that require a non-disclosure agreement

1 min read

Occasionally you may be tendering a project that requires subcontractors or suppliers to complete a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before accessing documentation.

In order to manage this, we recommend creating two projects - one with the NDA document, and the second listed privately with the trade packages.

  1. Create your first project with the NDA document only, this project can be listed publicly or privately. For a step by step guide to creating a project, click here
  1. If you list the NDA project privately, now is the time to send an enquiry to subbies
  1. Now create your second project and make sure to list it privately; the second project contains all of the project packages
  1. The subbie may submit the signed NDA through the Quote process, in which case it will be automatically attached to their enquiry in the Invites & Responses tab of the project

If the subbie returns the NDA via email, you can upload the document as a quote manually following the instructions noted here

  1. Once the signed NDA is received you can then send the subbie an enquiry for the private second project, knowing that only people who have completed the agreement can access the relevant package details
  1. You can now manage the second project as usual
